Successful E business

E-commerce refers to buying and selling goods over the Internet or without visiting a store physically. It was started with the transferring funds using electronic media EFT (electronic fund transfer). In was started in 1970s. Business organizations and personals started accepting financial documents, such as purchase orders and invoices, sending and receiving via electronic medium. As the time continued, credit card payment, telephone banking and flight booking were added to e-commerce. E-business is broader than e-commerce. It refers to e-commerce plus much more. It also means managing and organizing business personal, group or organization to do their business online. It gives a platform for interested people to get involved in the business and arranges for safety and security in their business.

As it doesn't need to have a big and fancy show room, the products can be sold at very low price. The amount businesses use to decorate the show room is their net profit in e business.  e.g any product stored in a distant quiet street is definitely cheaper that the one stored in a Westfield complex. Customers can contact their supplier via e-mail, which never misses out. They are normally replied within 24 hrs. They don't have to hold the phone and wait for hours or stand in a queue of showroom counter. Most of the cases they can find the answers over the Internet. The suppliers know what kinds of questions their customer may ask. So they put their answers under a topic "FAQ" i.e. Frequently Asked Questions. So the customers can get the information anytime. They don't need to wait for the business hours. The online customers can check similar products over the Internet and check for multiple products at the same time. They can compare their prices, quality, warranty and guaranty and so on.Electronic marketplaces have developed better information sharing and committed deliveries punctuality. It is convenient for both customer and the merchants as they can use their free time to do the dealing so we can say it is 24/7 business. The customers out of the tensions like traffic jams, shopping bags and security in payment like PayPal. If a customer is not happy about the product or not delivering a product, they can claim their money back.

Security is a major concern on online businesses. Still most of the customers don't know which site is secured and which is not. Their personal information and credit cards can be misused if someone in the business has wrong intention. At the same time the hackers are another threat. They can steal all the data and money from the bank or credit card. The new or cheat business organizations can abuse the product detail and catalos of the reputed merchants for their own use. Internet is easy source for such people.People still think it is better to buy a product in store rather than online. They cannot feel the quality, material, finishing and the actual size online. The picture displayed online cannot be trusted because what it looks in picture is not necessary to look the same in real time. Accessing Internet is not free of Viruses. Virus creates big problem for both business organizations and the clients. Because of that both parties have to spend a lot of money and they cannot perform their deal on time. Any goods cannot be delivered at the same day like buying things in store. In case the product is not what a customer wants, it is a complete waste of time and money. They have to return the product for extra cost and that takes longer time.

The online business cannot be possible in all cases. For and example we can take groceries; By the time a product is delivered to a customer it will be out dated. So they must be bought in store. Some of the products must be tasted before buying like clothes and furniture. The size of a garment is not necessary to fit someone so they must be tasted. A bed or sofa needs to be checked for its fabric, smoothness, size and comfort. Therefore these kinds of product are not good to be purchased online. If someone buys them, might not be happy and has to pay extra money to return them and wait for so long to get the right thing to come back. So the online business applies to limited sectors only and is not good for all types of product. We can take an example of e-bay as one of the most successful e-business. The customers and the sellers feel secured doing their business in e-bay. It has organized maximum possible options for the both parties to be open and secured for the trade. The customers can check the products they are looking online and analyse all aspect of the product namely; made, material, features, warranty and so on. If we want to sell something through e-bay put the images of the product, as many as we like so that we can convince our customers. for example I want to sell watches online, I can put images of the available watches from different angles. I can add the details about the watch like its made, make year, brand name, features, size of the dial and the band, band material, dial material and weight and size in total. In this way I can convince my customer that the products I am selling are the right size, right price and right material for the clients. They can make up their mind before buying it.

E-bay also has strong security measures on behalf of the customers. If any product is not delivered on time they can contact their seller as well as e-bay. After some conversations the costumer is asked to wail little longer. If the item is not delivered in the extended time the amount for the item is either refunded to them or promised to supply with another piece.  In order to make secure payment, e-bay has established another body named PayPal. PayPal can be used to make so many other online payments in addition to e-bay. It is secured method of payment and it is responsible for the refunding of the payments if needed. The online business organizations set their own terms and condition to do the business with them. Both the buyer and seller needs to read them carefully so that they have no confusion later regarding their dealings. As it is not on the spot business, it might be time consuming. So the customer must be convinced with the time that might take for the delivery of an item they purchase.Anyone interested in starting an online business platform must be careful in the similar fields. They need to create broad area where both buyer and seller can fit, feel secured, economy and make profit out of it. They need to provide room so that one can compare and analyze a product. The payment method must be secured so their financial information is not misused. There must be an assurance to the customer that the item they buy is delivered to them and the seller should feel that their payment is done on time.
